What To Eat While Thanksgiving Dinner is Cooking:

Family Pumpkin Bread

You know how sometimes you catch a quick whiff of something, and the memories come flooding back? Smells can evoke memories, and suddenly transport you back to other places and times in a way that nothing else can. The smell of pumpkin bread does this for me.
As a child, the minute the weather changed and the season turned to Fall, my Mom and I would make pumpkin bread. This recipe has been in our family for some time now, and I swear it’s the best one out there – and there are many. Something about that magical mix of cloves, allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon perfectly smells like Thanksgiving to me. When I started my own family, I knew that this tradition was worth carrying on.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups Sugar

- 1 cup Corn Oil

- 4 Eggs Beaten

- 1 16oz. Can Pumpkin (or 2 cups)

- 3 1/2 cups Flour

- 1 teas. Baking Powder

- 2 teas. Baking Soda

- 1/2 teas. Cloves

- 2 teas. Salt

- 1 teas. Cinnamon

- 1 teas. Nutmeg

- 1 teas. All Spice

- 2/3 cup Water

Directions:
- Combine sugar, oil, eggs and the pumpkin

- Sift dry ingredients and add to the pumpkin mixture.

- Add 2/3 cup of water and pour into a Bunot pan or loaf.

- Grease and flower the pan.

- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
